Watering
At Installation
Ensure it has been watered thoroughly until saturated – check by lifting a corner and ensure the soil is wet underneath, especially the edges. Continue to maintain this moisture level for the first 2 weeks. Use exceptional caution in summer when it is hot, dry or excessively windy, it is crucial not to let the turf dry out.
Mowing
Once Established
Around 10 days check by gently pulling up a patch of turf to see if it is anchored down. Once anchored down conduct your first mow. Adjust your mow height to 35-40mm (1/3 of the leaf growth). Mow every 5-6 days at a minimum height 30mm then you can start reducing the height to 25mm. Those that like a really short lawn slowly reduce and maintain at 12mm.
Feeding
Prior to installation, a starter fertiliser would have been used to promote rapid root growth, from four to six weeks after installation, apply a quality slow-release fertiliser. Regular fertilisation will help maintain lovely, lush-looking turf by improving colour, vigour, and density and reducing the likelihood of weeds and disease.
